Warranty

General Warranty 
Information

The manufacturers obligation under this warranty is limited to repairing or replacing any part or parts returned to the factory, transportation charges prepaid by the customer, which proves upon inspection to be defective and which have not been misused. Damage or failure to any part due to freight damage or faulty maintenance is not covered under this warranty. PKS reserves the right to void all applicable warranties when repairs have been made or attempted by unqualified service personnel. PKS also reserves the right to void all applicable warranties if the owner of the lift cannot supply lift operator training records for personnel that have used the lift and or provide detailed service reports upon request.  PKS has a strict requirement that all lift operators must be trained as stated with ANSI/ALI ALOIM:2008 Section 4.2.1.
This warranty does not cover downtime expenses incurred when a unit is in repair.
The model, the name, and serial number of the equipment must be furnished with all warranty claims.
This warranty statement contains the entire agreement between PKS and the purchaser unless otherwise specifically expressed in writing.

This warranty applies to the original customer only and is not transferable.

 

25­‐Year Warranty  Structural

All structural components are guaranteed for 25 years, specific to model, from date of invoice, against defects in workmanship and material when the lift is installed and used according to manufacturer specifications.

 

Lifetime Carriage 
Bearing Warranty

As the original purchaser of a lift manufactured by PKS, you are entitled to a lifetime carriage bearing replacement warranty.    

Extended Cylinder
 Warranty

As the original purchaser of a lift manufactured by PKS, you are entitled to our Standard Two-Year Hydraulic Cylinder Replacement warranty and an extended hydraulic cylinder seal kit repair warranty.  PKS will cover the cost of the seal replacement, not including shipping.
To qualify for this warranty the following conditions must be met:

  • Any cylinder that is past the normal Two-Year warranty period must be shipped freight pre-paid by customer back to the PKS.
  • Upon completion of the installation of a complete seal kit, PKS will ship the cylinder back at the owner.
  • PKS’s obligation under this warranty is limited to repairing any cylinder, which upon inspection has not been PKS reserves the right to decline responsibility when the repairs have been made or attempted by others.
    This warranty is not transferable and is only available to the original owner.

2-­Year Parts

As the original purchaser of a lift manufactured by PKS, you are entitled to a Two-Year mechanical parts warranty which includes carriage ladder, lock assembly, arm lock restraints, springs, telescopic arms, and pivot shafts for swing arms.
Carriage bearings are considered to be mechanical components but are covered for the lifetime of the lift and are therefore not included in this two-year mechanical portion of the warranty (see Lifetime Carriage Bearing Warranty below). All hydraulic power unit components (motor, pump and reservoir) are guaranteed for two years. All electronic control components are guaranteed for two years.  (NOTE: The warranty for deep cycle batteries is one year.) All pneumatic components (air cylinders, pop-­‐it valves) are guaranteed for two years, and conditional upon proper air supply configuration at time of installation. This means that the air must be supplied dry, regulated to specified PSI and lubricated via an automatic lubricator. Warranty will be valid on all parts listed above, from date of invoice, against defects in workmanship and material when the lift is installed and used according to manufacturer specifications.

 

1-­ Year “On Site” 
Labour Warranty

As the original purchaser of a lift manufactured by PKS, you will be provided on site labor on a pre-­‐determined flat rate basis to perform
pre-­‐approved warranty replacements or repairs. Travel cost to and from the repair center beyond 240 Km (150miles) will be at the owner’s expense.  Under this warranty, PKS is not responsible for: general maintenance, normal wear and tear, periodic and recommended adjustments or repairs/replacements, and damages caused operators.
